Reporting FAQ

  1. What reports are available at the keyword level?

The main keyword reports are Performance Summary (e.g. within a Campaign or Ad Group) and Keyword Performance Summary (which can span multiple Campaigns and Ad Groups). In both reports, the fields are Impressions, Clicks, CTR, Average CPC and Cost. Additional fields to track Assists, Conversions, CPA, Revenue and ROAS are also available for advertisers who use our conversion tracking tags.

  2. What reports are available for ad/keyword pairs within an ad group?

    AdKeywordSummary - AdKeywordSummaryByDay.

Generated reports that contain a pre-determined set of metrics aggregated for each unique combination of ad and keyword in an ad group.

  3. Can we pull reports for the current day?

You can pull reports for the current day, however we cannot guarantee that the data will reflect the latest activity on your account.

  4. Is the reporting timezone set at the account level or master account level?

All analytics are in the local time zone specified for the Master Account (which is selected at the time the account is created and cannot be changed).

  5. Is average position available in keyword reports?

    Yes.

  6. Do you have any SOAP request/response examples for the report service?

Yes! Check out this zip file for samples of most of the reporting calls.

  7. At what level is the 50 report limit enforced?

You may have 50 reports active at any time per master account, per user, regardless of the license keys used. Note that reports are available for 2 days only.

Remember that reports are first-in first-out. So, when you try to exceed the allowed limit of 50 reports only, the new report removes the oldest (first) report.

  8. What kind of reporting is there in the sandbox?

All customers will get exactly the same data in sandbox reports, as the data are simulated.

  9. Why doesn't the booksClosed element show up in CSV and TSV report formats?

The header information in CSV and TSV reports will include a warning message if the current books closed date for the account is earlier than the report end date. If the warning message is included in the report, the data for the report is considered incomplete. If the warning message is not included in the report, the data for the report is considered complete.

  10. What encoding types do your report formats use?

The CSV_EXCEL format uses UTF-16LE and all others (CSV, TSV, and XML) use UTF-8.
